Rearm Windows 7 and Win 8 and Use 1 Year for Free

Do you know you can use Windows 7 and Windows 8 for free up-to 30 and 90 days? resp. Yeah! You already know that. But did you know you can use these Operating Systems about 1 year for free? You may not know this trick to extend your license. In this post I will show and explain the trick for you.

Rearm Windows 7 and Win 8 and Extend License for 1 Year

Every Windows operating systems can be used for a trial period of 30 to 90 days for free and after that you will need to activate your Windows. But with this trick you'll be able to use Windows 7 and Windows 8 for one year for free. To extend your license you'll have to run a command in the command prompt. It is very easy, just follow the following steps.

Click on Start button (if Windows 7) or move your mouse cursor to the right hand side and choose search (if Windows 8 or 8.1).
Now search for cmd in the search box.
Right click on the cmd and click on Run as Administrator (it is very important to run the command prompt with administrator privileges). See the screenshot below

Now n the cmd Window, run the slmgr /rearm command and hit enter button. You can see the image given below to know more.

Done! Now you will see a message telling you to restart Windows, click OK.

You have now extended you Windows 7 or Windows 8 license.

By following this trick, you can extend you license for three times. It means you will only enjoy three months without any license. Follow the trick given below and tweak your Windows 7 to extend license for 1 year (approx.).

Press Windows key + R to open the RUN dialog. Search for regedit in Run to open registry editor (Administrator access required).

Now navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > SOFTWARE > Microsoft > Windows NT > CurrentVersion > SoftwareProtectionPlatform.
After navigating to the correct place, you will see the following screen.

Right click on SkipRearm and Modify it. Change the value from 0 to 1.

That's All! Now you can rearm your Windows OS for another 8 times (previously it was limited to three times).

See another related command to check license status, PC details and expiry date.

Type command : slmgr /dli to check current license details.
Type command: slmgr /dlv to check detailed information about Current license type of you Operating System.
Type the command slmgr /xpr to the check expiry date of current license.

After following the above trick you'll enjoy the trial period of about 360 days (approximately). Just rearm your Windows by following the above steps on the last day of trial period.
