Almost all the people loves the default font on their Android phone. Device manufacturer always try to present us beautiful font so that we will not need to change it ourself. But there are many Android users who will prefer to use different font, different from the legion.

If you use Samsung phones then you may like to switch to Roboto (default font on Android L). Non-Samsung users may need to root their device.

iFont
iFont is a popular that allows to change the fonts, primarily for Samsung, XiaoMi (MIUI), Meizu,HuaWei(Emotion UI) phones (no root permission needed). This also works on HTC, Sony & Motorola devices (with root permission).

  • You'll need to allow installation of app from unkown sources. To enable this option go to Settings > Security > Enable Unkown Sources.

  • Go to Play Store and install iFont on your smartphone.
  • Launch iFont and choose your language.

If you have TrueType fonts on your PC then move it to your Android device to use it on your smartphone. You'll need to root your phone to install any custom fonts. After rooting, move the [TTF] fonts to Device Storage > iFont > Custom. Make sure your fonts is tested, to avoid font substitution.
