How to Embed Fonts in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint Document

In my previous post, I showed you How to Install Google Fonts in Windows. Their are large numbers of Fonts available in Google Directory and you may buy some fonts to use it on your presentation and Microsoft Word documents. But using the rare fonts might send you in serious trouble as those fonts might not be installed in all the users computers or your client computer. This could destroy the awesomeness of your Word or PowerPoint documents. Also, it will not look good and all the user who don't have fonts used in the document installed will see the default font of their system.

But, it doesn't mean that you should stop using rare and beautiful fonts in your documents and presentation. In this case you can embed the fonts used in your document easily. Yes, it is very easy to embed fonts in your Word or PowerPoint presentation. Just follow some simple steps explained below to know how to do this.

We will first learn how to embed fonts in Microsoft Office PowerPoint and than Microsoft Word. Both have very similar ways to embed fonts. Just a little change. Now read below.

• At first, you will have to open the PowerPoint presentation or create a new one.

• After creating or opening your previous PowerPoint document, click on the Options (Office Button) which is located in the top left corner.
• Click on the PowerPoint Option from the options. You can find the PowerPoint Option button in the bottom right corner of the Options Menu.

• Now, clicking the PowerPoint Options button will open a menu from were you can setup PowerPoint to embed fonts after saving the Presentation.
• Click on the Save tab from the PowerPoint Options menu.

• Tick or check on the Embed Fonts in the File and click OK button.
• Now save your PowerPoint presentation and check in another computer if the fonts is appearing correctly. You can now see the fonts even if your friends or clients don't have the fonts used in your presentation file.

Embedding the fonts in Microsoft Office Word is same as it was in the PowerPoint presentation. Just choose Word Options in place of PowerPoint Options. If you're getting difficulties in attaching the fonts in your Word Document than see short steps below.

• Open Microsoft Office Word document or just create a new one to learn how to embed font in your Word Document.
• Now click on the Options (Office Button). You can find it in the top right corner.
• Click on the Word Options to open the menu for attaching the fonts in your Word Document.

• Choose or click on the Save tab/option.
• Select the Embed fonts in the file. Click on OK button.
• Done. When you will save your Word Document, all the fonts used in your document will be embedded in the file making it easier for your document viewers to view your files.
